The first stone, or rather pillar, is in the ground and so the start of our new building has been made. With its renovated offices and logistics center, OTM-Zenith is building for its future and has opted for the lively business park ‘West Gate’ in the Gossetlaan in Groot-Bijgaarden.
West Gate
We have deliberately chosen to establish ourselves in the middle of a bustling business campus. In this way we want to achieve more cross-fertilization and be an attractive employer that pays attention to sustainable business. We also have a link with our new location, because the printing office of one of the largest Belgian newspapers used to stand on these grounds. In this way the site retains its foundation.
Production
The building will be constructed in height so that we can take up as little ground space as possible with a production capacity of over 6000m2. This seems obvious, but it is quite an exercise to coordinate the logistical flow with production, spread over two floors and doing this as efficiently as possible. As a company we put a lot of effort into this. The ground floor mainly houses the warehouse and the production of the license plate, while the second floor is more suited to the printing activities. The products are moved via elevator shafts that are no less than 10 meters high.
It is also an obvious choice in the spirit of the times and in the context of our own ambition to pursue sustainable enterprise as far as possible.
In addition, all company cars ordered from 2022 onwards will be electric or hybrid, for which we provide infrastructure with charging stations, including public charging stations.
All company cars ordered from 2022 onwards will be electric or hybrid, and we will provide an infrastructure of charging stations, including public charging stations. The fact that we will also have our own supply route to and from our warehouse will also be an enormous improvement for our customers and suppliers.
BEN-building
Besides the fact that we are organizing ourselves in height, it will also be a BEN (almost energy neutral) building. Among other things, there will be solar panels, rainwater will be recovered as much as possible and all offices will be equipped with climate ceilings for heating.
Furthermore, the building will also be constructed in a modular and circular way, which means that in case of any renovations, materials can be recycled or reused.
For the well-being of our employees, we will be working with acoustic panels and soundproof windows, among other things. It will already be a vibrant workplace and at the same time a nice meeting place.
“The move to our new headquarters is a fantastic opportunity for the company. Our services will now be even more coordinated, the flow will be more efficient. With this project we have all the ingredients to remain at the top as a company and of course to continue to grow in supply and capacity without compromising on quality and service. Thanks to our project partner ‘Futurn’ who has mapped out this progressive project together with us and will take it in the right direction.”
OTM-Zenith expects to move into the new buildings by the end of 2022, to make a fresh start in 2023.Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)
